Our job involved demolishing a non-working waterfall, filling in unsightly planters, tile line repair, new cap and water line tile, dual skimmer replacement, complete pool equipment upgrade, deck restoration, and resurfacing a relatively large pool that was 30 years old. For a water feature new deck jets were installed. I did not realize that with the removal of the planters the deck drainage system had to be re-designed and fabricated. CPR did a great job on design and implementation of the new system; it has now been tested through several severe storms. Of the four qualified local contractors, Bob and his staff seemed the most interested in discussing the project with us. His pricing was competitive and he had the most creative ideas for the project. Bob and Cindy were extremely helpful in the color and tile selection process, the result turned out beautiful. He and his staff completed the work in a timely fashion and he stayed with the job until the new water and plaster were balanced. In the process of the upgrade many existing problems that we were unaware of, were corrected, there were leak issues, cap tile orientation, leveling of the steps in the pool, water line leveling, etc. In addition to the new fresh appearance, now the pool equipment performs better than it ever did. The quality of the work was excellent and the cleanup was such that one would not know any construction had taken place.  As a seasoned pool owner I felt I knew pools very well, every day I talked to Bob, I learned something new. Performance Feedback: 1. Initial Contact: I had 6 contractors recommended by friends and web searches to bid on my pool remodeling. Of these, 4 were interested and bid on the job after visiting with me at the job site. Of these 4, Bob’s visit was the most compelling as he understood the issues with the pool and recommended solutions that fit within my budget. He was easy to understand because he could explain things in detail, about the process of resurfacing the pool, the length of time and other factors. Bob was particularly helpful in tile selection and suggesting that painting the deck would come out good enough and I could avoid the cost of resurfacing the deck. His was the most complete & understandable proposal and broke out all costs, the schedule and all material into the options that I wanted such that I could pick and choose the options I wanted. His proposal was not the cheapest or the most expensive. 2. Workers: Every member of the crew, including all subcontractors, were very prompt, took care not to damage anything, moved furniture & plants off the deck and took apart the pool & spa fixtures, etc. with great care. All workers knew there stuff and did a great job, from prep work, resurfacing, cleanup and refilling the setting up the pool again. CPR spent a month coming back and making sure the chemicals were right and the new surface was curing OK. 3. Clean Up: As most know, the job of taking off the old surface of the pool is a difficult and dusty job. It really gets dust everywhere. Custom Pool Renovations did a meticulous job getting the dust off of everything including pressure washing the screen room, deck, floors, walls, roofing etc. 4. CPR Great to Work With: Together we overcame many unknown’s that occurred during the job such as schedule constraints, rain delays, parts delays and the nuances of the city inspection. Bob and his staff always kept their word as to the schedule, the price, and the tasks to be done and corrected all issues either on the spot or in a few days.
